At our Burlington areas we offer beginner through higher level music lessons in piano, guitar, vocals, violin, drums and many other instruments. We also provide party classes for many ages and abilities, from preschool dance classes to ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, alongside dance designs.We have music lessons and party classes and Kindermusik classes at a variety of times in order to book classes for different kids at the same time to truly save you hours of driving and waiting time.
We provide both private and group music classes. Our music instructors all have actually college degrees and are skilled in catering towards the needs of the latest students. We also offer low-pressure optional recitals for students.At our year-end dance recitals, we have exciting and entertaining shows from our Ballet classes, our Jazz & rap classes and also our preschool party classes. Additional Information
The Burlington location of the Performance School of Music and Dance offer both group and private music lessons. Different students require different teaching approaches. Some students progress best with the peer interaction and class motivation of a group session. Other students prefer the focused concentration of an individual one on one lesson. Once a student is more advanced it will be necessary to take private lessons to master the advanced techniques of an instrument or voice with individual attention. In order to make sure that your student has the option to select the learning style that is best suited for them, we offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons for private lessons and 45 minute group lessons.
Our music teachers have university training in the instruments that they teach. We teach students from beginners to very advanced. With locations in Burlington (Aldershot) we have a convenient location near you. Choose a class/instrument from the left hand side of your screen for further information.
If students wish they may take optional exams offered by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). The Royal Conservatory is a national testing board that is based in Toronto. The RCM allows students to test for certain grades in an instrument or voice. Successful completion of certain levels can be used toward Secondary School credits.
Exams are held 3 times per year at various locations around Burlington, Hamilton and Niagara. Most of our students choose to learn their instrument recreationally and do not take exams. If a student does wish to take an exam our school can fully prepare them for any level of testing. We have helped hundreds of student complete exams successfully.
Enrich your child’s summer and keep them active with a wide variety of summer classes & private music lessons to choose from. We have week long summer dance camps where students can explore new skills or hone existing ones. What a great way to keep their bodies active and make new friends. Our summer Angelina Ballerina dance camps include camps for 3 & 4 year olds and 5 & 6 year olds. Kindermusik classes are available all summer long for ages newborn to 5. Music lessons are for all ages.

For a child’s brain, body, heart & soul. Through music-making, movement, language, literature and play, our music and movement classes nurture young children from birth to age 7, empowers their parents and strengthens families.Our Kindermusik programs in Burlington and Oakville are fun, interactive group programs for children ages newborn to 7 years. In these classes children learn the fundamentals of music including rhythm, melody, notation and an introduction to orchestral instruments.
kindermusikThe class is 45-60 minutes long, once per week. In the rhythm component they learn by doing fun games with rhythm sticks, triangles, shakers, hand drums, etc. For the melody component they learn the concepts through lots of singing. They will learn high – low, loud – soft, pitch, major – minor, etc. For notation they learn how to recognize musical symbols such as treble clef, half note, whole note, etc. (Much the same as learning your alphabet before you learn how to read.) We also teach them how to recognize all the instruments of the orchestra both by sight and sound. For example, by the end of the program they can quickly tell you if the sound they hear is a trumpet or saxophone.
The preschool music classes & Kindermusik classes are taught by our educators who are specifically trained by Kindermusik International, and who love working with young children. The educators are patient, fun and very encouraging.
